What is Reiki
Reiki is a form of energy-based healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words:
• Rei meaning “universal” or “spiritual”
• Ki meaning “life force energy” (similar to chi in Chinese or prana in Sanskrit)
Reiki is often translated as “universal life force energy.” Everyone has this energy naturally flow through them but when it is low in the body, blocked, or unbalanced, it may contribute to stress, anxiety or illness.
Reiki healing involves a trained practitioner lightly placing their hands on or just above the clients fully clothed body, with the intention of channelling this universal energy to support balance, relaxation, and the body’s own natural healing ability.

Sound Healing
Sound healing is a holistic practice that uses the vibrations of sound to restore balance to the mind, body, and spirit.
Through instruments such as crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, the hand drum and various percussion, sound frequencies help calm the nervous system, release energetic blockages, and promote deep relaxation.
Group Sound Baths
A group Sound Bath Relaxation or Meditation is actually nothing to do with water or baths but is a guided sound journey with a selection of instruments played by the practitioner, such as Tibetan and Crystal Bowls, gongs, hand drums and various interesting sounding percussion.
These sounds and vibrations ‘wash’ over you and help to lead the brain into a more meditative state and induce an overall feeling of peacefulness and wellbeing. Regular local Group Sessions, intimate Workshops, Corporate and Private Party bookings available.

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Nicky and I am a 50 something year-old vegetarian, animal, yoga and sunshine loving mum of 2 fabulous teenage girls.
My adult journey began many moons ago when I trained as a Beauty Therapist and found my calling in offering clients holistic types of treatment and massage. This took me to working in some beautiful spa locations in Kent, London and Bermuda. Then, in 2014 after having a little break to have both of my girls, I was thrilled to be able to set up my very own garden Studio at my home in Ashford, Middlesex.
Treatment Options
I can highly recommend Nicky at Reiki shine. Had some personal things going on over the last year…. And felt a little lost and unbalanced and was dealing with daily anxiety and stress. I have had a few reiki sessions with Nicky and I have to say it has massively helped with my anxiety and wellbeing. I’m definitely on a healing journey and feeling much more relaxed and balanced. Cannot thank Nicky enough and would highly recommend to anybody.

One of the best treatments I have ever had! Having never met before Nicky made me feel really comfortable and at ease, we easily chatted which allowed me to relax into the treatment enough to be completely quiet and fully enjoy it. I had a 90 min Reiki Infused Facial with sound bowls - wow! The facial itself was just fabulous let alone adding in the Reiki and Sound Bowls - it was truly relaxing and wonderful. I felt Nicky really considered my comfort & warmth and really maintained the integrity of the treatment through the temperature in the treatment room, lighting, smell (out of this world!), products used and how they were applied and her general demeanour. I am going to make this a regular treat as I felt completely de-stressed afterwards.

A sound journey with Nicky is an amazing and unique experience. Nicky kindly greets you, ensures you are comfortable and quietly introduces the session. As she plays, you soon find yourself drifting into a deep mediative state where the worries and the pains of the day melt away and you fall into a restful dreamlike place between wakefulness and sleep. As you comfortably float as if on a journey, your body and mind can do nothing but relax. After an hour or so she gently helps you back to awareness and you feel as though you will float home. I highly, highly recommend this experience.
